This is probably the only church in the Pays de Retz with a real mechanical set of bells from 1857. The bells can ring the complete octave, i.e. it is possible to play  "Ave Maria" and "Il est né le divin enfant" ("The Holy Child is Born"). The church in Le Clion was built in the XIVth century or XIIIth century, in the Middle-Ages: a massive square tower and an Eastern wall.

A hundred-year-old chapel. As there was no footbridge between Gourmalon and the city centre of Pornic, the parishioners had some difficulties to come over to church. They got the idea to build a chapel against the Clergy's opinion. The chapel of Gourmalon was opened on March 1st 1909.
